****************************************************************************

Don “Padre” Pender, fellow PGR lost his life on Saturday, 16 AUG 08.  Don was a member of American Legion Riders Post 2 in Tempe and had attended many PGR missions.

Don was very quick to make friends everywhere he went.  I’m sure several members know of him.  He said the most awesome sight he’d seen was from the back of the pack watching a long line of PGR escorting a hero.  Don will be missed by many brothers and sister of ALR and PGR.

Funeral arrangements are pending, please watch this thread for information.

Rest in Peace "Padre", You will be missed by many......

Pat Eagan

AZ PGR State Captain

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Don "Padre" Pender, PGR Member. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow.  For his unselfish dedication to the PGR and families of the fallen he will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Don.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.
