Mission Complete – 15 September 2008
We had 14 bikes and 1 cage escort Major Wolfla to BWI airport prior to his deployment to the Sandbox. Accompanying the Major was his wife, son and mother-in-law. As planned, fellow Illinois PGR members Mark Bratkiv and Bob Smith, friends of Major Wolfla’s, escorted him from his home to the rally point where we were lined up and waiting for him to arrive. Everyone fell into line as we were led by the Maryland Transportation Authority Police from the rally point to the airport. Upon arrival at the airport, we had a few minutes to shake hands, get in some hugs and well-wishes, and snap a couple of pictures before the Major had to check in. Thanks to everyone who came out to support this mission. We look forward to welcoming the Major home once his tour is complete.
