*****MISSION COMPLETE*****

31 riders endured the heat today as the service for Sgt Nathan Bennett was conducted. Mission support was provided by Gerald "BC" Gaines, with plenty of cold water and flags. Escort riders were dispatched to bring the family to the chapel prior to the service. The flag line stood tall and silent as family and friends arrived until the service commenced, then lined up to lead the procession to the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery.

Nathan's brother is an officer with the NLRPD, and their presence today was made with 5 patrol units and 2 motors, who provided flawless traffic control for the long procession as it travelled down JFK Blvd to the cemetery. Opposing traffic came to a stop, and many got out of their cars to place their hands over their hearts or salute as the procession passed. The NLRPD support was awesome and deeply appreciated.

The staff of Roller Owens Funeral Home was very supportive, and the CAO's assigned to the family were very supportive and appreciative of the PGR participation. The chapel was nearly filled with uniformed members of the Arkansas Army National Guard, Nathan's Brothers and Sisters in Arms. Hats off to all of them.

13 members of the Central Arkansas Corvette Club, of which Nathan was a member, followed the family in the procession in their beautiful cages.

The flag line again stood tall and silent as full Military Honors were rendered to this soldier and hero.

Thanks to all of you for attending, some of whom were on your first mission, to the members of other organizations who rode with us today, and especially to those who travelled a great distance to attend. Your support is vital to the mission. The family conveyed their deepest appreciation for the support of the PGR.

To the one we come to honor, Sgt Nathan Wesley Bennett, it was the highest honor to accompany you on your final journey on this earth, and to render a final salute to you. Rest now in the eternal glory you have so richly earned. We will not forget you.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth , nor any other created thing , shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39.

with deepest respects to the family and a friend from final fantasy xi

God saw you were getting tired
and it was not meant to be.
So he put his arms around you
and whispered "come to me"
With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
he only takes the best!

god bless m8!!
