The family of Sgt. Nathan Wesley Bennett, age 21, of North Little Rock, AR has requested full PGR support at his funeral.  Sgt. Bennett was stationed at Camp Robinson and was killed in a traffic incident on I-30 at Broadway, Tuesday, 15 July, 2008.

We are working with the CAO and the following are the details we have:

Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 pm (18:00 – 20:00), Thursday, 17 July—Roller Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, AR  72116

Funeral: 12:00 noon, Friday, 18 July—Roller Owens Funeral Home

Interment: 1:00 pm, Friday, 18 July—Arkansas Veterans Cemetery, Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, AR

 

We will provide a flag line at both the visitation and the funeral (Thursday night and Friday)

We will provide escort from the funeral home to the cemetery, with the potential for additional escorts to be added as plans are finalized.

 

STAGING:

VISITATION—5:15 pm, Thursday, 17 July—Roller Owens Funeral Home (Flag line) – this part of the mission will be complete at 8:00 pm or whenever the visitation is complete.

FUNERAL—11:00, Friday, 18 July—Roller Owens Funeral Home – this part of the mission will be complete after graveside service and full military honors rendered at cemetery.


This is a SHORT NOTICE Mission. There may be changes to this information as things progress. Please monitor the mission thread and/or contact RC.

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.

Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.

'No Greater Love is this that a man is willing to lay down his life for another.' Only two men were willing to sacrifice their lives for us-Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. Neither of which can ever fully be repaid.

Thank you for your Service and my Freedoms. Your sacrifices will never go unnoticed. I am grateful to live in a country made up of volunteers like you. Your choice to protect our Nation and put your self on the line can never be repaid.
