19 May 2006 11:02 AM Alert
The PGR has been invited to participate in the Rochester Veterans Memorial Parade.  I will be attending Rolling Thunder that weekend so someone will have to take the lead on this one if there is any interest.  Anyone wanting to take the lead and organize the PGR for this parade will have to call Terri Williams at (248) 651-8137 by May 25th to let her know the PGR will be attending.  Here is the info. that I have:
The parade will start at 10:00 A.M. on Monday May 29th.  Parade participants will meet at Mt. Avon Cemetery at 8:45 A.M. and be assigned their position in the parade.  There will be a short program and wreath presentation at 9:15 at the war memorial in front of the mausoleum.  From there the Parade will proceed approx. 1 mile to the Veterans Memorial Pointe where there will be another short ceremony with guest speakers.  Following the ceremony there will be refreshments for all parade participants at the Rivercrest Banquet Facilities.
If you are willing to take the lead for this event please post it on this thread so that others are aware and we don't end up with more than one person in charge.

Larry,
Drop me a line with all the information you have, and I'll get it on here for ya. I'll need times, starting location (actual address to meet at), and anything else you might have for our membership.

Thanks,

I cannot show. I have obligated myself for the ride to Toledo to honor a fallen Hero. Maybe next time.

Mr. "K" I tried to subscribe to your link but it failed. Please add me to your MI list.

Thanks

Three PGR participated, Brian, Scott & myself.  Got lots of positive feedback from veterans present and also from general public.   Met the mother of a fallen soldier (2005 before the PGR formed) she thanked us for all we do and thanked God that the protesters were not present at her son's funeral.  Brian-it was an honor to meet you and ride with you.  Good luck and God Bless!
