Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Loren R.Craker,Thanks for being one of our greatest heroes. God Bless. And God Bless, The fellow soldiers that stands for us everyday.Thank you for your dedicated service and sacrifice to defend this great nation of ours.

We salute you , My Friend

Final Inspection

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now,soldier.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime.
When the bills just got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord.
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don’t, I’ll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now,soldier
you’ve borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets;
you’ve done your time in Hell."

~ FINAL MISSION REPORT ~ Arrived in King Veterans Cemetery by 10:45 AM to do the preset for flags. 5 PGR's assisted. It was a beautiful day. Near 80/blue skies/lots of sunshine. The ride to Iola was on Hwy 49 which winds/curves its way thru the central Wisconsin farmland. Lots of small farmettes with dairy cows grazing in some fields & flocks of sandhill cranes doing the same in others. We came over the hill as we approached Iola & my neck stretched to see how many bikes were in the IGA parking lot. I expected just a few. There were many!! I lost count at 30!! (A Monday, mid-day Mission) As an RC, I am always concerned about the turnout. I should not be, they ALWAYS come. These men/women are true Patriots. Not all are Marines. But all are ALWAYS FAITHFULL. In fairness, this was a joint Mission between the Patriot Guard & Rolling Thunder. Loren was a member of R.T. among other groups. Police escort was flawless. Waupaca County co-ordinated. We went thru 4 small towns. King Vets (State) Cemetery is situated with a very large hill right in the middle of the grounds.Loren was buried at the very top.(Even though as Vietnam Vets we were not respected in life, he is now respected at the very top of these hallowed grounds) He is in the company of many other Vietnam brothers on that piece of highground. May your soul be at peace, Loren. We thank-you for your military service and your dedication to your God,your country, and your family. It was an honor to meet your wife and children today. I had never met them before, but I can see that you were greatly loved by them all. Your values and your memory will live on in their acts/deeds. I think the Patriot Guard did you proud today. We came because we CARE. Because we feel it is our DUTY. Our OBLIGATION to you and your family. Welcome home, my brother. My deepest sympathy to your loved ones, ~ Michael Weaver, Patriot Guard, SRC, N.E. Wisconsin,~ Army Medic, Vietnam, 1968-69 ~
