Escort mission Accomplished. Thanks to all that came out on a very stormy day. We had 8 bikes and 2 cages, plus the family that met us at the airport to ride in the procession.

Davidson Co, Sheriff department did an excellent job on a very short notice to get us out of Nashville, and took us to Cool Springs. I had JJ working on Giles county to pick us up off the interstate once we got there, and got him and Hamberger connected to each other. I dunno what kind of magic the two of you worked out, but it was great!!

At Cool Springs, the Williamson Co Sheriff department was there to pick us up. They took us all the way to the Columbia exit, and then turned off. On the other side of that exit, there was THP ready to roll! I just slowed a little, and we were good to go again. At Lewisburg, JJ was on the side of the interstate with a couple of more THP to join us. Once we got off the Interstate, Giles Co had all of the intersections blocked for a smooth ride to the funeral home. Way to go guys!! For once, I was really happy to see LEO with blue lights flashing at me from out of nowhere on the interstate.

A huge thanks to all LEO that helped out with this escort!!

This is a very special family, and I was honored to meet them, and help in a small way with their tragic loss.

Until we meet again....Ride safe,

In Brotherhood,

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Cpl.Jason L. Davis,Thanks for being one of our greatest heroes. God Bless. And God Bless, The fellow soldiers that stands for us everyday.Thank you for your dedicated service and sacrifice to defend this great nation of ours.

Final Inspection

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now,soldier.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime.
When the bills just got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord.
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don’t, I’ll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now,soldier
you’ve borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets;
you’ve done your time in Hell."

Lord, please comfort and grant your peace that surpasses all human understanding to the family and friends of Cpl. Jason L. Davis, United States Marine Corps.  Amen.  This brave man answered the call of his country and his sacrifice will not be forgotten.  Take heart in that there are many Americans, many who have never met him, honoring Cpl. Davis for his courage and his service to this nation.  There are also many Americans, and again many who do not know Jason or your family, praying for you right now.  Call upon the Lord and He will strengthen you during this time of great loss.  1 Samuel 7:5...I will pray for you unto the Lord.

Home safe though a little "damp"!
Good turn out today. It was an honor to stand for this young Hero.
Great job Mary Anne! I knew a "grunt" would do a great job!
Everyone there were outstanding. We dodged a couple of lightning bolts and a few raindrops, but overall, everything went well.
Hopefully I can make the escort tomorrow.
Thank-you to all who rode with me from Hazel Green today. I appreciated the company!

When we say Dixie has no boundries, it is the absolute truth. We had a good turn out today about 25 bikes and 5 cages. We were backed up well by our Alabama brothers and sisters- about half of the bikes and one cage came in from Alabama, we here in TN sure appreciated the back up. Thank-you Alabama!
Thanks to everyone who was there today- we all worked well together to show our honor and respect to Jason and his family. many many thanks to all.
The escort tomorrow will leave the funeral home at 0800 SHARP. Please allow yourself time to gas up and take a little break if you are coming from a distance.
Thanks to all who have had a hand in making this mission successful.
Ride safe! Hope to see some of you all in the morning!
