My sinceriest condolences to SFC. Woodhams' family and friends. I have had the great honor of serving with him during this tour. I saw him as a friend, mentor, and as a brother in service. He was my Motor SGT. here in Tallil. He taught me a great many things, and always lightened the days with his laughter. I know he is and always will be sorely missd by many, and I will never forget him. And the best way I can honor him is to take on and pass forward the knowledge he passed to me. And by trying to give some one a laugh per day. His laughter and love of life will always be heard in my memories. " Soldiers never die, for as long as the flag continues to raise their spirit makes it wave. And their dedication drives forward the next generation to do the job that others are unable or unwilling to do with persaverence and pride." Evans HQ Batt. 1-111FA VAARNG

You are so very truly appreciated, SFC Woodham. I know you have been welcomed as a hero at heaven's gates by all our fallen warriors who have gone before you. Rest easy now, Anthony, and know that you will forever remembered here.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

Our heart felt condolences to the Woodham family and friends in the loss of Anthony. Thank you for his service to this great country. Our prayers go out to God for you in this time of loss. Anthony served to give us the freedom we now enjoy so much and for that he is one of the GREAT AMERICAN HEROS of the land. God bless your family and friends. Wish I could have shaken his hand and told him thank you myself. God tells us that “Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) As Christ our Lord laid down His life for us that believe in Him for salvation, so your love one has laid down his life for us for our freedom. This act has made him a Super Hero in my heart and I thank-you deeply for this sacrifice made for our freedoms. I pray that God will now bless your lives and help you see how great a thing this is which your loved one has done. The FALLEN MILITARY MEMBER has shown this country his greatest love for country and friends

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.

Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.

Any service related death, on or off duty, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!

In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.

I want to thank Mary Ann, JD and Renee for the fantastic support job they did. We really needed the water - it was HOT standing out there today. We couldn't do what we do without your help. We all really appreciate you.

*****MISSION COMPLETE*****

SFC Anthony Woodham received a final salute under a beautiful blue sky, with only the sound of the flags waving in the cool breeze. His service was carried out with honor and without interruption. Counting cagers and riders, there were approx. 80 members standing the flag line as this soldier made his last journey on this earth. About a dozen were on their first mission, and they were made welcome by all.

Thanks to JD and Mary Ann for the mission support. It was essential to the success of the mission.

This mission was accomplished with the full support of the Arkansas Army National Guard, the Rogers and Fayetteville Police Depts., the Benton County Sheriff's Dept., the Arkansas State Police, and the staff of the Stockdale Funeral Home and the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Hats off to all of them, and for the professionalism displayed by our Ride Captain Fred Nelson, and his ARC's Terry Bryson and Dan Cochran, a salute to you for your extensive planning and coordination to make this mission a success.

Following the service, the AANG TAG, Major Gen. William Wofford, and his Command Sgt. Maj. Deborah Collins, walked thru the formation of Patriot Guard Riders and thanked each and every one of them.

To the one we come to honor, SFC Anthony Woodham, may you rest in the eternal glory you have so richly earned. Your service and sacrifice in the name of FREEDOM will never be forgotten.

Thanks to the AANG Chaplains, Lt. Miller and Capt. Goloway, for their very kind words and for joining us during our mission briefing.

Ruffy and I would like to thank the family of Sfc. Anthony Woodham for allowing the Patriot Guard to honor their hero. Our prayers will continue to be with you all as you make the adjustment of your loss. Know also that we feel your loss as well. Thank you Anthony for your service, and sacrifice. It didn't go without notice. God Bless !! You won't be forgotten.

I also want to thank all 4 states,(Ar., Ok., Mo., and Ks.), that sent support riders to the service.  Also the many organizations that were represented. Thanks to the first time riders as well. You all are what helps make the mission a success.
Thanks to our support cages, JD, Mary Ann, and Camel, for keeping us supplied with everything but AC.
A Special Thanks to the LEO's that supported us. I know Ruffy tried to thank each one as we passed them during the escort. I hope they know what life savers they are.

And! Thanks to my friends old and new. We'll ride together again I'm sure. See you then.

Pictures should be posted below.

With respect,
