Freedom, if we hold fast to it, will ultimately restore our losses, but submission will mean permanent loss of all that we value.... My condolences to the family of this young airman.But at least you can feel the relief of knowing that he lies near his family for eternity.
I have ridden to "The Wall" in DC on a number of occasions to remind our government to not forget the POW- MIAs. Our numbers on those rides approach 450,000. Our government has paid attention and has entered into agreements to allow search and recovery parties to seek the remains of MIAs such as Capt. Mauldin. I am honored to have been an extremely small part of that process. And I would be very honored to accompany him to his final place of rest if asked.

Welcome home, Captain Mauldin and thank you, Sir.  - George

"High Flight"

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -

And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
