As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.
Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.
Any service related death, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.

| This is a confirmed mission for next week in Dutchess County.
Please note this is a 3 part mission.
Part 1: Wednesday 7/9 Escort from Stewart AFB, Rt.17K, Newburgh,NY to Straub Funeral Home, Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY. The time of the flight arrival will not be available until Monday, 7/7. We will stage at the entrance of the AFB.
Part 2: Thursday 7/10 stand a Flag Line at the funeral home during viewing hours (2-4 and 7-9).
We will meet at the Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Exact address and parking details will follow.
Part 3: Friday 7/11 escort funeral procession from Funeral Home to Cemetery near junction of Rt. 208 and Rt. 44/55 in Gardiner, NY. Staging time will be posted when made available by the family on Monday 7/7.
Details will also be posted on the NYPGR Calendar.
