| Capt Dykeman, you are so truly appreciated. You stand a hero now at heaven's gates, along with all our fallen warriors who have gone before you. Rest easy now Philip, and know that you will never be forgotten here. |

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.
Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.
Any service related death, on or off duty, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.
I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!
In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.

Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. You are truly an American hero and the world in which we live is a safer place because of your commitment to freedom. We will now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect. Final Itinerary:
Staging will be at the American Legion Post in Central Square, NY. This is located on US rt 49 west of the village. Doors will be open at 7am, coffee provided. We will hold our briefing at 8am, kickstands up at 8:10 and flag line beginning at 8:20am at the Watson Funeral Home, 631 S Main Street in Central Square NY.
Viewing hours are from 0900 until 1200hours, a mass will be held at 1300hours at St Mary's Parish in Cleveland NY. We will be sending an advance party to the church with their flags so we are in place when the procession arrives.
Ride captain for this mission is Jerry Deon, please contact him if you have any questions regarding this itinerary.

| I would like to personally say thank you to each and every PGR Member that was able to make this mission. We had a tremendous turn out of support, having over 50 members in our flag line from 8:20am until noon. I also want to say thank you to Matt Anable for taking the role of leading the motorcyclists to the church to prestage the flagline and have it in place when the family and funeral procession arrived.
Once again our region 3 membership stepped up to show their professionalism and patriotism for the family of Capt Phillip Dykeman.
It is an honor to be a Ride Captain and member of such a great group of people.
