The funeral for Charles Sinnette will be Monday, June 30th, at 1400 hours (2 pm).  Staging and briefing for this mission will be at the Aldi's parking lot, on US 23, across from AK Steel (Ashland, KY) at 1250 hours (12:50 pm).  KSU will be at 1300 hours (1 pm).

The funeral will take place at the Caniff Funeral Home, Westwood, KY.  We will form a flag line until 1400 hours then break down and prepare for escort.  The escort will only take approximately five minutes.  We will form a flag line at the burial site (more details will be given at the briefing).  Full military honors will be performed.

If you need further information, please send questions to BOTH the following email addresses and I will get back to you NLT tonight.

Currently, the forecast for Monday will be a high of 80 with no rain expected.  Please bring a couple of water bottles for your hydration.  I will have extras available at the funeral home.  Thank you to all who can make it and for those who are unable to attend, thank you for keeping us and the family in your thoughts and prayers.  Take care and ride safe.

Two of this hero's children, Thomas and Betsy, are both members of the PGR in Omaha, Nebraska and Little Rock, Arkansas, respectively.  I have spoken to both and they are very thankful for the PGR and the fact that we can honor their father in this way.  Mr. Sinnette was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII and was involved during the landing at Omaha Beach.  Mr. Sinnette was an Electricians Mate aboard the USS Texas, and served his country faithfully and honorably.  After his service, Mr. Sinnette returned and settled in the Ashland, KY area and eventually became a circuit judge.

Tom & Kelly

We've been asked to honor another United States of America hero, Charles S. Sinnette, 83, Navy Veteran, WWII, who served on the USS Texas from 1943-45 as an Electricians Mate.

PGR presence is requested for the funeral only by Charles' son Thomas Sinnette of Omaha, NE (who rides with the PGR in Nebraska, and by  Charles' daughter who rides with the Arkansas PGR).  The funeral will be held Monday, June 30th, at the Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood, KY (part of Ashland), with burial at the Dixon Cemetery (near the Westwood High School).  Staging area and times will be announced ASAP.  Please keep your eyes on updates.  Thank you to all who can be a part of this mission.  Take care and ride safe.

We mourn the loss of yet another member of “The Greatest Generation”. It’s because of the sacrifices of the past, so unselfishly rendered by heroes like Charles S. Sinnette, that we have the freedoms our nation enjoys today. May the friends and loved ones of Charles stand proudly, knowing thousands of patriots across this country are very appreciative of those who have stepped up over the years, to defend America. Well done, Sir!
