| Final Report Sgt Clark mission. By Kevin G. (matrixbanjo) Arrived at the church at 8:40 am. The police came in just before me. Touched base with them, and the funeral director. Lloyd came with the flags and sign-in sheets. As the members got there, I welcomed them and had them sign in and take a flag. Richard and Linda got there after riding around town, trying to find Nebo Rd. to get to Main st., where the church is. I got the plaque from Linda,Lloyd and I presented it to the son of Sgt. Clark. He was VERY appreciative of us, and was speechless when he received the plaque. Said the pledge under a tree while it was raining, staged the bikes, and waited. One of the Directors was very informative as to where the service was going. We lined up in front of the door, Lloyd call attention, while they loaded the hearse, then we went to the bikes and staged them to run the escort. We were right behind the state police, then was rolling thunder, the hearse, and then family and friends. We ran int a HUGE thunderstorm while in route to the cemetary, that seemed to take forever to get to. 10 miles of water soaked riders, staged, with flags lined up behind the Legion members. I would like to thank all of the INPGR that came Richard for giving me the ok to R/C this mission, java for having the faith for me to do it. My new best friend moldmaker, that I have seen alot of this week, my wingman Lloyd for all the great backup. and especially to Rolling Thunder and their officers. From both Muncie and Ohio. You guys rock! sincerely Kevin G. Jr Ride Capt. |
