My deepest sympathy to the family of Private First Class Dawid Pietrek. I appreciate all of his contributions to our country and may there be a special place for him in heaven. All gave some and some gave all. He gave his 'all' so young. I will never forget.

Our heart felt condolences to the Pietrek family and friends in the loss of Dawid. Thank you for his service to this great country. Our prayers go out to God for you in this time of loss. Dawid served to give us the freedom we now enjoy so much and for that he is one of the GREAT AMERICAN HEROS of the land. God bless your family and friends. Wish I could have shaken his hand and told him thank you myself. God tells us that “Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) As Christ our Lord laid down His life for us that believe in Him for salvation, so your love one has laid down his life for us for our freedom. This act has made him a Super Hero in my heart and I thank-you deeply for this sacrifice made for our freedoms. I pray that God will now bless your lives and help you see how great a thing this is which your loved one has done. The FALLEN MILITARY MEMBER has shown this country his greatest love for country and friends

To the Family of Pfc Dawid Pietrek

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. As a mom of a 2/7 Marine, please know that we are mourning with you. Please know that you are all in so many thoughts and prayers throughout the 2/7 family. We mourn with you. We cry with you, we stand with you. We share your anguish, we share your sadness, and we share your loss. You are not in this alone.
Dawid's ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten. Here was a young man willing to lay down his life for a country that hasn't called him their own. May Dawid's citizenship be forthwith.
May God wrap loving angels around you, to guide you and ease your pain at this time of such great sorrow. God has
welcomed Dawid into his loving arms, so he too will be watching over you all.

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.

Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.

Any service related death, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!

In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.

I send my heartfelt condolences to the family of PFC Dawid Pietrek. Please know your loved one is a hero in the hearts of true patriots all across America. Many of our citizens will never know the sacrifices made by those who defend our freedoms, or the sacrifices made by their families and loved ones…as a veteran, I know. Jesus said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”. Though I did not know Dawid personally, his sacrifice and service to the United States of America makes him my “friend”. I have been to Warsaw and Krakow, Poland several times in the last few years, and have come to love the country and her people. You have lost a great son, and we thank him for his service to America. God be with you.

Pfc Pietrek, what an incredibly selfless and noble thing....to stand for our nation before you even had officially become a citizen! You are a true hero, for America and the world. I know you have been welcomed at heaven's gates by all our fallen warriors who have gone before you. Rest easy there, Dawid, and know that you will be forever remembered here.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Pfc.Dawid Pietrek,Thanks for being one of our greatest heroes. God Bless. And God Bless, The fellow soldiers that stands for us everyday.Thank you for your dedicated service and sacrifice to defend this great nation of ours.

We salute you , My Friend

Final Inspection

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now,soldier.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime.
When the bills just got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord.
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don’t, I’ll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now,soldier
you’ve borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets;
you’ve done your time in Hell."
