Galveston, TEXAS Police Officer, Sgt. Jeff Wyers was killed on his motorcycle Saturday, June 14th and his new wife seriously injured, when a motorist pulled out of a convenience store parking lot in front of them in Texas City Saturday Afternoon. Sgt. Wyers was taken by Air Ambulance to the University Of Texas Medical Branch's John Sealy Hospital in Galveston where he was pronounced dead. His wife was also taken to the medical branch in serious condition. Sgt. Wyers, and his wife, Crystal, had gotten married Friday evening the day prior. The Sgt. was a 20 year veteran of the Galveston Police Department was planning to retire soon. Please keep Mrs. Wyers, Family Members, the Galveston Police Department and The Blue Knights - TX31 Family in your thoughts and prayers at this tragic and very difficult time. The Family has requested PGR - TEXAS attend the services on Wednesday, June 18th. They have asked that the PGR set their HONOR FLAG LINE at 1000 HRS at the FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH in GALVESTON, TX. , 822 23rd St, Galveston, Tx.
Church service will begin at 1100 Hrs. in Galveston.
STAGING LOCATION: 3410 I-45 South, Dickinsen, TX (Southbound Service Road, Kroger Parking Lot, enter at What-A-Burger and Stage along curb next to service road.) Going south take exit 19 and move to right hand lane.
STAGING TIMES:
STAGING: 0745 - 0830 SAFETY MEETING: 0830- 0840 KSU: 0850
FAMILY ESCORT: KSU: 0830 Lead ?: 2 to 4 Bikes.

| I offer my most sincere prayers and extend my deepest sympathies to the family friends and fellow Galveston Police officers after the tragic loss of Sgt. Jeff Wyers and the serious injury of his new bride. I pray that the Lord Jesus will be there with you to hold you and to give you His Peace and Comfort during this most difficult and sorrowful time. I pray also for Mrs. Wyers. That Jesus will oversee her complete recovery, both physical and phycological, that were caused by this accident and the loss of her new husband. |

My condolences and prayers to the family and friends of Law Enforcement Officer Sergeant Jeff Wyers. I thank you for your public service as a LEO and ultimate sacrifice you made for this grateful nation in keeping law and order within your communities.
