ANC Mission Plan - 25 June 2008

MSG (ret) Jeff Johnston, 61, Army is to be buried on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) on 25 June, 2008 at approximately 1000 hours from the ANC Admin. Bldg.

Stage:     0850 hrs       Marine Corps War memorial (Iwo Jima Memorial)
Brief:       0900 hrs
Depart:    0910 hrs      Transit to ANC Admin Bldg
Honors:   1000 hrs      Graveside - time approximate

Ride Captain: Jim Furr   (540) 454-0629 cell

Iron Horses preferred, cages welcome as always.
Large mounted flags desired for transit to ANC (furled upon arrival).
Hand-held flags not used at this service. (ANC request)
NO military-mandated ID / gear required for this mission.

This is a Confirmed ANC Mission!

MSG (ret) Jeff Johnston served two tours in Viet Nam and also saw service in Korea and Germany.  

He is to be buried on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) on 25 Jun 2008 at approximately 1000 hours from the ANC Administration Building.

PGR has been invited to participate in these services, as well as in services that were held in early June in his hometown, and we will stand tall, silent and proud at graveside for this Here of past wars.

Detailed planning is underway and an ANC mission plan will post here, shortly!

The family of United Sates Army Master Sergeant (Ret) Jeff Johnson, has requested that the Patriot Guard Riders stand in Honor of their Hero at funeral services for him in Spring Hill on Saturday 14 June 2008. Jeff served two tours in Vietnam, as well as tours in Korea, and Germany. After his retirement, He was very much involved with his community, volunteering much of his time to The American Legion, VFW, DAV, and other groups. 
Jeff loved to dive, and made dives all over the world, including the Great Barrier Reef. He also was a Spring Diver.  
  
 Jeff passed away on Saturday June 8th 2008  from cancer, he leaves behind Stacy, his Wife of 51 weeks, one son, and two stepsons. 
 
Jeff did not hesitate to stand for us, now it is our time to stand for him. 
 
The mission will be a Flag Line only, at the Funeral Service. 
 
Interment with full military honors will be at: Arlington National Cemetery on 25 June 2008 
 
Funeral Service will be held at: 
Turner Funeral Home

We will stage at the Funeral Home
