Veteran MSG Rufus Russell-Waco, TX-Friday 13 June 2008
 
The RUSSELL family has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the memorial service and interment of their loved one on Friday, 13 June 2008, beginning at 1330 hours.

RUFUS RUSSELL was a Retired Master Sergeant with 28 years of service in the Air Force and has received the Viet Nam Purple Heart.


Memorial services are to be held at WILKERSON HATCH FUNERAL HOME
6101 BOSQUE BLVD., WACO, TEXAS with interment to follow at OAKWOOD CEMETERY at the corner of 5th Street and LaSalle Waco, TX


Staging in Waco: FLYING J [New Road & IH 35] Waco, TX starting at 11:30am- 1200 pm with KSU 12:10pm.

We will ride Southwest to Hwy 6, ride 3 miles to Bosque Blvd, turn right on Bosque, ride 1 mile to funeral home, it will be on the left.

Flag line to be established at WILKERSON HATCH FUNERAL HOME
6101 BOSQUE BLVD., WACO, TX, NLT 1230 hours.

My condolences to Rufus Russell's family. Mr. Russell served 3 tours in Viet Nam and not only received a Purple Heart but also was awarded a Silver Star, 2 Distinguished Flying Cross's, the Pitsenbarger Award for Heroism, along with many ribbons. It will be an honor to ride for this American hero. Thank you for your service Sir.
