****************MISSION COMPLETE****************
Once again, the PGR was called upon to pay Honor and Respects to another Veteran of our Armed Services, AE2 Timothy Nulph, USN, of Philippi, WV.
Approximately 25 members gathered at the staging area on, yet, another blistering hot morning. After a short briefing, we proceeded to Wright Funeral Home where we established our flag line at 1300 and maintained it until start of services at 1400.
After a short service, we provided escort to Timothy's final rest, once again setting up our flag line as he was moved from the hearse to the gravesite.
Upon completion of the flag presentation by members of the U.S. Navy Honor Guard, RC John Moats presented our plaque to Tim's wife, Patsy. We continued our flag line until the family had departed the gravesite.
My sincere "Thank You" to John Moats and Kim Jeffries for stepping up to Ride Captain this mission. Although you don't feel as if you did that much, your services were invaluable. Thank you, both, very much.
Thank you to the Wright Funeral Home for providing cold water for our members to have during a very warm and humid day.
A very sincere "Thank You" to each and every member who travelled in to stand in Honor and Respect of Tim and his family. Once again, our friends from Pennsylvania helped make this mission an outstanding success as we were joined by over a dozen of their members.
Thank you, too, goes to Wayne Nulph for contacting me and requesting PGR attendance at Tim's services. It was truly OUR honor to be able to fulfill his request.
Finally, my deepest appreciation is extended to AE2 Timothy Nulph for his honored service to our country. Whether serving in peacetime or during conflict, no Veteran's service can be looked upon in a different light. Each and every one has given a portion of themselves to ensure we continue to live in the greatest Nation on earth.
Rest in eternal peace Tim. May you have fair winds and following seas. God Speed.
Respects,
Joe |
