Frank Thompson earned my respect and gratitude when he served our country with a valued and rare skill, that of a Navajo Code Talker. His efforts, and those of all the Navajo Code Talkers, were hugely important during World War II. This American family will remember and honor him for his contributions to our freedom.
My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Frank Thompson. |

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Frank Thompson, Navajo Code Talker, USMC, WWII Veteran May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. He is
one of America's Heroes, of the Greatest Generation, that will never be forgotten.
Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Frank.
Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning
Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

| At a wedding several years ago, I spent some time with the keeper of the sacred flag/banner of the Ojibwa (sp) tribe. This was about the time the movie came out about the code talkers. I sat in awe and listened as the elders spoke of the dedication and honor those who served carried with them into battle. They were not chosen because they were special, they were special regardless of their position, rank, or service. I am, and forever shall be in awe of the bravery diplayed by the Navajo Nations soldiers. I salute you sir, Frank Thompson, USMC. We shall forever be in your debt. May the great Spirit guide you on your final journey. May Hope and Joy surround you, and Earth's wisdom be your guide. |
