| I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of SPC Kyle P. Norris in this very sad time in your lives. My prayers are that our GOD may bring peace and comfort to all of you during this tragic time. Please know that not just me , but a country full of people like me owe you a debt that can never be repaid. We know that your loved one is now serving in the Army of our LORD in heaven, and the LORD said if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. I thank you for the sacrifice you and your family have endured so our nation can remain the home of the free because of the brave. We are all brothers and sisters in arms and we don't forget one of our own, rest in peace my comrade, your mission is complete and now it's time for you to rest. May GOD Bless each and everyone of you. |

********************MISSION COMPLETE**********************
My sincere apologies for not posting this sooner but have been extremely busy the past few days.
Due to some missed communications on my part, I was unaware that Chris would be unable to attend the final portion of this most honorable mission and my assistance to RC the final day would be necessary. To all who attended, and to Chris and Bob, please accept my apologies for any confusion.
On a bright, sunny day, approximately 25 PGR members and others from Ohio and West Virginia gathered in Zanesville to pay Honor and Respect to another American Hero, Spc Kyle Norris, who paid the ultimate price for our continued freedom and liberty.
Although we were, unfortunately, unable to get our flag line established prior to commencement of services, we were able to stand solemnly as Kyle was moved from the Church to the awaiting hearse for the journey to his final rest in Lowell, OH.
The TREMENDOUS outpouring of support and patriotism that was displayed during the entire 70 mile journey to the cemetery was something that words cannot describe. Citizens from EVERY community along the route had lined the streets, some waving flags, some carrying signs and some just standing with their hands over their hearts or saluting as the procession made its way past. Almost without exception, every business that had a marquee out front had words of comfort for Kyle's family or praise for him and what he had done for each of us. Fire departments had their engines parked with raised ladders and flags flying, heavy equipment locations had their cranes alongside the route displaying huge flags from their booms. The ultimate outpouring of support and patriotism that I saw displayed was the placement of, as I understand it, roughly 14,000 American flags placed every 10 to 15 feet over the ENTIRE route to the cemetery. This was done by members of Kyle's family and was nothing short of tear jerking and heart wrenching.
At the cemetery, we once again established a flag line as Kyle was moved to his place of final rest and maintained this until the family had departed.
My sincere "Thank You" to each member who attended this mission and participated in the escort. My hat is off to everyone.
A special "Thank You" goes to those church officials whose names, I'm sorry, I did not get. Their attention to the weather conditions and allowing us to stay inside where the services were being simulcast was very much appreciated. An extra special "Thank You" to all the LEO's who led the procession along the entire route, ensuring everyone's safety.
Finally, and above all, my heartfelt "Thank You" to Kyle's family for allowing the PGR to participate in his services. Know that it was truly our privilege to be there. It is my hope that our presence gave you some knowledge of just how much his service and sacrifice is appreciated by all.
Rest in eternal peace Kyle. God Speed Son. Respects, Joe |
