Pfc Norris, you are so truly appreciated. You stand now a hero at heaven's gates, along with all our fallen warriors who have gone before you. Rest easy now, Kyle, and know that you will be forever remembered here.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

Folks all I have as of right now is SPC Norris's escort. SPC Norris is scheduled to be at the Zanesville municipal airport at 0910 on Monday. I would like to be able to have our members out there at around0845 set up and ready to go. For this portion of the mission i feel that meeting at the airport itself will be the easiest meeting location. The aiport is just a small airport and not used a whole lot except for private flights, but I doubt any will be flying until after this mission. WE will meet up at 0845 at the airport and will be escorting the body back to central zanesville at Schouffers Funeral home on Military drive. It is approximately 20 miles of driving i am not sure the route they will take rather it will be the interstate or the back ways either way the escort will be approximately 30 minutes. The viewing hours are on tuesday and wednesday but i am unsure of the times as they will not set times until the SPC Norris arrives. The funeral will be on Thursday. I will have several people working with me on this one being it is four days long i am off work some of the time and others are off as well so we will all pull togther to get this one done. I am still awaiting confirmation from my guy on the ground monday. Once i get a confirmation back from him i will post his name and info for you as well. Any questions feel free to ask.

Location of the airport. To get to the airport if you are coming from columbus area stay right on 70 go through zanesville and on the east side of zanesville you will see an exit labeled aiport exit from there you will go to the right and it will run you directly into the aiport.

Coming from the east you will hit the exit bfore you get to zanesville take the exit labled airport exit and make a left and it will run you right into the airport.

Any questions on directions feel free to ask and i will try to clarfy as much as possible.

Final Inspection

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now,soldier.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime.
When the bills just got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord.
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don’t, I’ll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now,soldier
you’ve borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets;
you’ve done your time in Hell."

Chris, or anyone doing a search for this particular Tim Horton's on MapQuest.  The only one listed for Zanesville is located on Maysville Dr., however, Tim Horton's official site also lists one at 3231 N. Maple Ave., Zanesville.

Directions can be found at http://www.timhortons.com/locator/index.html, then do a search for those establishments in the 43701 zip code.

Hope you don't think I'm trying to usurp you here, Chris, but wanted to help avoid any confusion with folks coming in from out of the area.

Lord willing, will see you in the morning.
Respects,
Joe
