My flag stands at half mast in your honor. I cannot repay you. I cannot show enough gratitude to your loved ones or to you, but I will be there to stand for you. You stood for me. Your example will forever be a guiding light to those of us that falter, those of us that freeze in indecision. Your light will never burn out. You will never be forgotten. God bless your loved ones and God bless you.

It was also my honor to escort Sgt. Blake Evans and his family. There are no words I can say to ease the pain of losing a loved one. But I will be there Tuesday and Wednesday. And I will not forget.

Rest easy soldier.

I'm for sure going to be there Wednesday. still trying to make Tuesday fit with the work schedule.

When the PGR says they don't care what you ride, or if you ride or if you're even a veteran, they mean it. I don't ride and I'm not a veteran, yet here I am.

Sgt Evans, you are so truly appreciated. I know you stand a hero now at heaven's gates, along with all our fallen warriors who have gone before you. Your babies will grow proud and strong knowing their Daddy was a patriotic and courageous man. Rest easy now, Blake, and know that you will not be forgotten here.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

To the Family and friends of Sgt. Blake Evans,

Our family is very sorry for your terrible loss. There are no words that can possibly ease your pain but we all will try anyway. My entire family gives thanks that Sgt. Evans stood against the evil enemy that seeks to destroy us and our way of life. We are profoundly saddened by his passing in defense of our freedom. He sacrificed his life trying to bring a better life to people he didn't even know. It will be my honor to stand for him and I can only promise that he will not be forgotten.

Respectfully,
