CPL Crecenz,

Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. You are truly an American hero and the world in which we live is a safer place because of your commitment to freedom. We will now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect. We pray that you will now rest peacefully in the arms of God. May He provide peace, comfort, and understanding to each life you touched.

***MISSION COMPLETE***MISSION ACCOMPLISHED***

What a wonderful and gracious family, the family of Cpl. Michael Crescenz, Medal of Honor Recipient. THANK YOU, for inviting us to be a part of Michael's exhumation in Philadelphia 2 May 08 and reburial in Arlington National Cemetery 12 May 08. WE ARE HONORED.

Michael was originally buried at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham Township, but his five brothers made the decision to have him buried in Arlington, Virginia. "He's where he belongs now with the other heroes from our country," his brother Charles said. His final funeral was conducted on Monday and he was buried with full military honors. "There are a lot of honored people here and I am just happy that our brother is part of it," Joe Crescenz said.

Before dawn today with 30 + mph winds and a relentless deluge of rain from on high VFW, American Legion, civilians, LeatherNeck MC, Viet Nam Vet MC, GOE, PGR, family and friends came to the James Terry Funeral Home in Dowingtown, PA. The Most Reverend Joseph McFadden, Auxiliary Bishop Archdiocese of Philadelphia arrived to ride with the family to conduct the graveside service at Arlington. At 0800 we were called to attention and presented arms as Michael's coffin carried by the pallbearers was placed in the hearse.

Led by the Pennsylvania State Police from Troop J and Inspector Tony Boyle, Philadelphia Police Department the escort started on its 130 trip to Arlington. Following the hearse and the Family were 5 wheels and over 100 cages. At the planned stop at the Maryland House on I 95 in Maryland we added a bus from the Rising Sun VFW Post, Viet Nam Vets of America members and PGR members from MD, NJ, DE and PA. Back on the road we headed South on I 95 toward Washington now being led by the Maryland State Police. Because of the detail planning of Chris Hill, GOE this huge convoy made it almost incident free to Arlington. Just North of Washington 2 wheels went down. Both riders continued on, one back on his wheel and the other with his ride in the back of a pick up truck.

At Arlington the PGR met up with Silverback and fell in with the Arlington contingent of the PGR. With full Military Honors the body of Cpl. Michael Crescenz was laid to rest in a new section of Arlington. The final page of the quest to have their brother buried with other heroes from our country had been written. Sadly this section of Arlington will be the Final Resting Place to more American Heros. With Michael's grave in the center he will be here to Welcome them.

On behalf of the Crescenz family thank you all for a job well done. On 31 May 08 you are all welcome to the home of Joe Crescenz in Chester County for an outdoor barbeque. I'll post more about that later this month.
