State Captains Ride Report: The Morning are was Fresh and crisp, with the faint odor of Rain in the air. I met one rider at the Royal Farms Store in Bridgeville. Before we Departed A gentle rain decended upon us, and off to the east was a Rainbow, First time either of us Had seen one at 0600. After a few miles, we could see not only the Rainbow to our left, but also you could see the other end in the rear view Mirror. The ride to Dover was Slow and easy, Slow due to traffic lights and easy due to very little traffic. Our next pick up point at Home depot, found 1 bike and a cage awaiting. From this point we went North to Mikes, Arriving at 8:03. The parking lot had a total of 4 cages and 33 bikes. A total of 42 persons in all, with two of them new Members. We departed Mikes for the short ride to the Delaware Memorial Bridge to await the 485ths arrival to our waiting spot just south of the toll plaza. We could see the Buses as they crested the Bridge. A Bridge Police car was Leading their way. As they neared, they saw the Motorcycles awaiting them, and you could see the bus shift as the soldiers went to the right side of the bus to take pictures and look out to see The patriots whom were there to Greet them as they returned home. The ride was Short to the Delaware Technical & Community College, where the familys were waiting. The Ceremony was short and Each of the 65 soldiers received a Warrior-Citizen Award. Afterwards Light refreshments where served . I want to thank all who helped make this mission one to remember for the 485th.
