A Prayer for Our Soldiers' Families

Heavenly Father, we pray for the safe return home of our soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan. We ask that you give our military commanders and political leaders wisdom and courage to fulfill their daunting responsibility. Lord, we implore you to please remember the families of these brave men and women. Bless the wives, parents, children and siblings of our fighting forces and give them solace and comfort. If it be your will, bring their loved ones home swiftly, sound in mind and body.

We pray these things in the name of the Son, the Father and the Holy Ghost,

Amen

I'll be at the church for the services, but the escort looks iffy.

When the PGR says they don't care what you ride, or if you ride or if you're even a veteran, they mean it. I don't ride and I'm not a veteran, yet here I am.

PFC Rabe Jr.,

Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. You are truly an American hero and the world in which we live is a safer place because of your commitment to freedom. We will now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect. We pray that you will now rest peacefully in the arms of God. May He provide peace, comfort, and understanding to each life you touched.

we had about 20-25 PGR, maybe 20 bikes and 4 cages or so. As always, it was an honor to be there

I want to thank my brother Rick and my brother-in-law Chris for allowing my son Jonathan and I to ride with them today. It meant a great deal to me to have the oppritunity to honor our brother-in-law Herb by riding with the Patriot Guard. To the men and women who stood guard today, may God bless you. Thank you for all you do. Uncle Herb, what can I say...

Caroline,

It was my pleasure to have you on the back of my bike honoring Herb as we took him to his final resting place.  With 5 family members in the PGR you had your pick.  I'm glad you asked me for the ride.  BTW "sit still back there"
