LCpl Kimple was on his second tour in Iraq when his life was cut short by a roadside bomb. He has left behind his wife and three young children.

DoD Identifies Marine Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of four Marines who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Lance Cpl. Casey L. Casanova, 22, of McComb, Miss.
Cpl. Miguel A. Guzman, 21, of Norwalk, Calif.
Lance Cpl. James F. Kimple, 21, of Carroll, Ohio
Sgt. Glen E. Martinez, 31, of Boulder, Colo.
All four Marines died May 2 in Al Anbar province, Iraq, supporting combat operations. They were assigned to the Combat Logistics Battalion 1, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

James served to give us the freedom we now enjoy so much and for that he is one of the GREAT AMERICAN HEROS of the land. God bless your family and friends. Wish I could have shaken his hand and told him thank you myself. God tells us that “Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) As Christ our Lord laid down His life for us that believe in Him for salvation, so your love one has laid down his life for us for our freedom. This act has made him a Super Hero in my heart and I thank-you deeply for this sacrifice made for our freedoms. I have spoken with the funeral director, and will be in contact with the CACO soon. The plan set forth above is a go, there may be a few additions. We may be providing escort for LCpL Kimple from the airport to the funeral home on thursday, details to follow IF that is to happen. We may also provide escort for LCpL Kimple from teh funeral home to Bloom-Carroll Middle School at 0930 on Saturday. More to follow on that as well. As soon as I have updates, I'll pass them on via this forum. Thank you all for your help.
