William A. Stewart, age 74 of Turners Station, passed away May 5th at the VA
Hospital in Louisville. His wife, Vonda, has asked the Patriot Guard Riders
to honor Mr. Stewart during his visitation and funeral service.
Mr. Stewart retired from the US Navy, having served his country in the
Korean Conflict, Vietnam War and Bay of Pigs. He was a two-time recipient of
the National Defense Service Medal and received a bronze star during his
service in Vietnam. He was an Honorable Kentucky Colonel and involved with
the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Services will be held at Prewitt Funeral Home, 425 North Main Street, New Castle, KY. The funeral home is located at the corner of North Main Street and Cedar Street. Enter the parking lot from Cedar Street.
Visitation:
After 5:00 p.m. EDT, Thursday, May 8. Staging will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the rear parking lot of the funeral home. We then will establish a flag line in front of the funeral home.
Funeral Service:
At 11:00 a.m. EDT, Friday, May 9. Staging will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the rear parking lot of the funeral home. A flag line will be established at 10:00 a.m.
Burial Service:
Burial will follow the funeral at Port Royal Cemetery, Port Royal, KY. The Port Royal Cemetery is located at the edge of Port Royal on KY Highway 193 approximately 10 miles from New Castle. We have been asked to provide an escort for the procession from the funeral home to the cemetery.

I very close friend of mine passed away this morning he was a retired navy vet his wife asked me to contact the pgr.
Everything is Pending for arrangements. But here is what I know.
Navy Veteran: Bill Stewart passed away at 05:30 on 5 May 2008 at VA Hospital.
(Top136- PGR Member) was asked by the wife to have PGR present.
Funeral will be at: (Arrangement still pending) Funeral Home still had not recieved call.
