The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Sgt. Ira "Buddie" Adams to show
Honor, Appreciation and Respect for him on 10 May 08.
Buddie served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater from 14 Feb 42 to 23 Dec 45.
He was with the refueling ground crew behind enemy lines to refuel short range bombers
and fighter planes. (The Flying Tigers were part of the planes they refueled). They would travel
in Chinese trucks behind the lines to set up the refueling site, and then move before the
Japanese found them.
Memorial Services will held be at Bewley Funeral Home, 103 S.W. 3rd Street, Aledo, IL
There will be a Visitation from 9:00 - 10:45AM followed by a Memorial service at 11:00AM.
After the service we will provide an escort to Aledo Cemetery, 612 S.E. 5th Ave, Aledo.
Staging Will be at the VFW Parking lot, 106 S.W. 3rd Street, Aledo, IL.
Staging Time: 7:30 - 8:15 AM
Briefing: 8:15
KSU: We will proceed on foot, flags in hand, to set up our Flag Line at the Funeral Home
which is one block away.

Because of individuals like Buddie, our citizens has continued to enjoy freedom and benefits unlike any other country. To the family & friends of Sgt. Ira "Buddie" Adams, I offer my most heartfelt condolences during the loss of a loved one.
After sitting and talking to Elaine & Cliff, I have realized how much of a "True American Hero" "Buddie" really was.
The stories that you've shared, the history that he made, the bravery that he possesed makes me realize that Ira"s commitment, dedication, & devotion sets him apart from many, and for that a lot of generations to come will be forever grateful.
To: Elaine & Cliff, just know that on that dark day the good Lord reached down upon us and found another angel to watch over his flock.
To: Ira "Buddie" Adams, Sgt US Army Air Corps WWII Veteran, it will be my honor and privelage sir, to escort a HERO like yourself to your final duty station. Rest in peace HERO, rest in peace!

Elaine and Cliff I am so sorry for your loss. My empathy runs deap.
I was so honored to have gotten the chance to hear the stories about Buddie, they were incredible. This man is truely an American Hero.
