Escort for WWlI POW James Dyer, Enoree, South Carolina Saturday, 3 May 08
The Patriot Guard has been invited to lead James Dyer, a World War II Prisoner of War, to the dedication of a monument honoring the service of our Soldiers.
Mr. Dyer is one of “America’s Greatest Generation” and even more noteworthy is that he was held as a Prisoner of War during that conflict. BUT, he returned home to his beloved United States and lived a full life.
Now he is to be Honored by his Country, his State, and his Community.
Come on out and shake the hand of a man who stood up against the Nazis and the rest of the Axis powers, fought them, was imprisoned by them, and returned home carrying the Banner of Freedom with him. Slap him on the back, thank him, and honor him on his special day. You won’t forget it, and neither will he.
This Escort will be fully escorted by Law Enforcement, and various Veterans groups and the Fire Departments will show Honor due to such a Hero, who will be humbled by the attention he will receive on his special day.
