Our assistance has been requested by the family of LTC Jason W. Robbins to help honor the service and the life of this Iraq War Veteran. LTC Robbins retired from the US Army in November of 2007 after 22 years of honorable service that included time at the Pentagon, a tour of duty in Iraq, and was employed at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey. He was killed while out riding his motorcycle( a 2001 Harley) on April 26, 2008.

This mission will involve two parts. There will be a flag line at the Smith McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street in Newton, New Jersey, on Friday, May 02 from 1400 to 1600 and then from 1900 to 2100. On Saturday, there will be a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home with burial to follow at Arlington National Cemetery sometime in the summer. We will stage at a location(to be determined) Saturday morning and ride en masse to the funeral home to set our flag lines for the Memorial Service. Military honors will be observed Saturday during the services. The family was relieved to know about our presence at the services, as they have knowledge of the what we do.

My condolences to the family of Colonel Robbins. Thankyou Colonel, rest in peace bro.

Standing by in Jefferson

Usually at a time like this I struggle for words to comfort a friend who has suffered a loss. The right words don’t often come, but if accompanied by the right sentiment they can be soothing. But I have learned over time that the best comfort at a time like this comes from those who watch over us. My beliefs allow me to be comforted by a certainty that I am watched over by those who have gone before me.
