HOTH Mission for family of US Army SSG Jeffery  Lee Hartley

 
 


 
Sunday, 4 May 08 – 1500 (3:00 pm) Weatherford, TX
 

 

 SSG Jeffery Lee Hartley gave his life on 08 APR 08 in Khargullah, Iraq when his mounted patrol was hit by an IED. During his funeral, it was discovered that he had a mother who had adopted him that was previously unknown to the US Army. Therefore, the flag was presented to his birth parents. The US Army is now delivering another flag which is to be presented to Mrs. Carol A. Hartley, who adopted and raised Jeffery. The PGR has been asked to participate in this presentation.

Staging: 1345-1430 (1:45-2:30 pm) at the Petro Truck Stop located at I-20 (exit 409) and Santa Fe Drive,Weatherford, TX ( 22003 Santa Fe Drive) 817-594-2738. Safety briefing at 1430 with KSU at 1445 for the four mile ride to the Hartley home located at 311 E. Second St., Weatherford, TX

 

During the presentation SSG Hartley’s citations for this SECOND Bronze Star and SECOND Purple Heart will be read.
 

 

Weather: Sunny with a high of 75 degrees and northwest winds 10-15 mph

 

Iron horses if you can, flag bikes would be great. Cages are always welcome
