We have been honored by being asked to be one of the lead units in a long
standing Coastal Tradition in Newport for Loyalty Days, Saturday. May 3rd.

There will be many military units present, and this gives us a great chance
to thank these brave men and women for all they do for us.

Loyalty Day is a special day for the reaffirmation of loyalty to the United
States and for the recognition of the heritage of American freedom.

We will be adding a third stage to this busy day but it is an important mission in its self.

We will be presenting the PGR plaque to Bill Lightner Father of Nicholas J. Lightner at the Field of honor in Newport (couple blocks south of the Armory). We will do this between the Parade and the flag line at the Armory some where around the 2-2:30 time frame

If you remember the PGR did this escort from Portland airport to Newport after dark in the rain in March 2007 and the funeral was several days later.
