There has been no greater life than yours. The world that I know now is incomplete. You've always been my hero, protecting me from all that life throws our way. I don't know how to go on without you, you always told me "Don't worry honey, God has big plans for us." The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that you are with God now,you have a perfect window into my heart and now you know more than ever how much I love, respect, honor, cherish, and need you. I know that you will never leave me, you will guide and protect me from all evils. Please whisper me a sweet dreams every night and kiss my forehead as you have always done. I know that I will see you again, but it wont be soon enough. Please help me to stay strong, I suppose now I will find out if I have my own inner strength, I haven't needed it since the day I met you: My best friend, husband, protector, "My commanding officer." I love you ~Love~ The Mrs.

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.

Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.

Any service related death, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!

In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.

Pfc Bishop, you are so truly appreciated. I know you have been welcomed as a hero at heaven's gates, along with all our fallen warriors who have gone before you. Rest easy now, John, and know you will never be forgotten here.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom
