Final Mission Itinerary
Retired SSgt. Jerry G. Baijot
On April 24th retired SSgt. Jerry G. Baijot, 61, of Bristol, VA was called home. He served in Vietnam with the 633rd SPS (Pleiku) , 632nd SPS (Binh Thuy) as a K-9 handler. He retired from the USAF after 23 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife Gladys Anne "Tootie', daughter Rebecca "Nicki", brothers, Mickey Blevins (Michelle) who is also a PGR brother, and Dale Blevins, (Shoney), sisters, Ellen Lawson (Ronnie) and Jeannie Powell ("Buddy"). He was Papaw to many children, Santa Clause to some and the lead singer with the Trinity Heirs Quartet.
This is a two part mission.
Part one
Sunday April 27th Staging will be at Cumberland Square Park, which is the 200th block of Lee St. in Bristol Va. in front of the Vetrans Memorial at 12:30 EST, we will be KSU at 1:00 pm EST for a short ride to the Blevin's Funeral Home. Part Two
Monday: April 28th staging will be at Mt. Home National Cemetery, this is in Johnson City, Tn., at 10:30 am EST. We will form a flag line around and up to the shelter. SSGT Jerry G. Baijot earned my respect and gratitude when he volunteered to serve our country for so many years in the US Air Force. His efforts to make the world a safer place will be remembered with honor and appreciation by this American family.

| I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero who stood tall for his homeland in this very sad time in your lives, but remember that you knew a hero first hand while the rest of us just get to hear about their heroic deeds. My prayers are that our GOD may bring peace and comfort to all of you during this tragic time. Please know that not just me , but a country full of people like me owe you a debt that can never be repaid. But please know that your loved one is now serving in the Army of our LORD in heaven, and the LORD said if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. Know that it says in the Bible in 2nd Corinthians 5:8 , we are confident I say , willing rather to be absent from the body and present with the LORD. No one can ever say that your loved one isn't a HERO, they were willing to serve that the rest of us may enjoy the freedom we do today, and the sacrifice you and your family have endured so our nation can remain the home of the free because of the brave. We are all brothers and sisters in arms and we don't forget one of our own, rest in peace my comrade, your mission is complete and now it's time for you to rest.
