Confirmed Mission: MSgt Billy Jay Serviss, USAF, Monday, April 28
The PGR has been invited to the services for MSGT Billy Jay Serviss, USAF on Monday, April 28 at 10:00AM
MSGT Billy and, his wife, TSGT Annette, both USAF, were riding in a Memorial Poker Run this past weekend when they were in an accident with a pickup. Billy was severely injured and Annette received numerous injuries and burns and is doing as well as can be expected. Billy passed today and his organs have been donated to help save the lives of others. There will be a link to a story about their youngest daughter and her receiving a donated heart at the end of the mission details.
Services: 10:00AM
United Methodist Church
2224 Harrison Ave
Harrah, OK
Interment: 2:00PM (or there abouts)
Mt Vernon Cemetery
HWY 60/74
Lamont, OK
Staging for Services: Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Store
3100 S Harrah Rd
Harrah, OK
7:15AM
Briefing: 7:30AM
KSU: 7:45AM
There will be at least 5 bikes escorting Billy from the funeral home to the services in a missing man formation. Everyone else will go to the church and form a flag line to receive Billy and the family.
We will escort the procession from the services to the interstate. We will find out the route prior to the services and give these details at the briefing. The family understands that it is a long distance from Harrah to Lamont. Those who wish to ride the entire way are welcome to do so. There is family that lives in the Enid and Lamont areas.
RFTWDave has volunteered to provide flags at the cemetery and JamieG and wickedwoman have volunteered to help him if they can. If anyone else is able to help with this mission is more than welcome.
Ride Co-Captains: Kim Drye and Jim Black

| I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero who stood tall for his homeland in this very sad time in your lives, but remember that you knew a hero first hand while the rest of us just get to hear about their heroic deeds. My prayers are that our GOD may bring peace and comfort to all of you during this tragic time. Please know that not just me , but a country full of people like me owe you a debt that can never be repaid. But please know that your loved one is now serving in the Army of our LORD in heaven, and the LORD said if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. Know that it says in the Bible in 2nd Corinthians 5:8 , we are confident I say , willing rather to be absent from the body and present with the LORD. No one can ever say that your loved one isn't a HERO, they were willing to serve that the rest of us may enjoy the freedom we do today, and the sacrifice you and your family have endured so our nation can remain the home of the free because of the brave. We are all brothers and sisters in arms and we don't forget one of our own, rest in peace my comrade, your mission is complete and now it's time for you to rest. May GOD Bless each and everyone of you. |
