MEMORIAL PRESENTATION CEREMONY
Sheriff's Office Operations Center
4321 N. Highway 77
Panama City, FL
Wednesday, May 7, 2008
Sheriff Frank McKeithen and the men and women of the Bay County Sheriff's Office have cordially invited the PGR to attend an outdoor presentation ceremony during which they will honor and bestow recognition for law enforcement officers who have given their life while carrying out the duties of their oath. They will also recognize the accomplishments with presentation of accolades to Sheriff's Office Deputies and employees now serving our community.
This is not our "customary" mission; however the Bay County Sheriff's Office continually supports the PGR with escorts, and is quick to recognize our patriotism. They also demonstrate their partisanship by assisting us whenever we ask. These men and women put their lives on the line for us every day, and deserve the honor and respect we can show them. Our state leadership has approved our participation, so come and help us stand in honor during this short ceremony. We will stage about a mile away at my office, and make the short ride together (escorted) to the Sheriff's office arriving just before the ceremony begins. (Please put your flag on your bike if you have one) We will park our bikes and form a flag line around the ceremony that should only last about an hour or less. Our supply sergeant Tricky Ric will be in attendance with hand held flags and water.
Staging:
209 Business Park Drive, Lynn Haven (This is a metal building directly behind Taco Bell on Highway 77)
Stage: 8:00 AM
Briefing: 8:30 AM
KSU: 8:45 AM
Ceremony: 9:00 AM
The ride captains for this mission are:
Pat Green "FatPat"
Jim Moore "Captain Toby"

| It will be my Honor and privilege to stand the line during this ceremony. Sheriff McKeithen and his department have never hesitated to provide LEO whenever the PGR has requested their services. |

Ride Report – Bay County Sheriff’s Office Memorial Ceremony
It was a beautiful day for a ceremony to honor Bay County’s fallen Law Enforcement. These Officers made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and welfare of our community. We were 31 bikes strong, with 1 cage and our support vehicle. We staged and proceeded to the ceremony which was only about a mile away. We were escorted by 2 deputies on bikes and 1 in a cruiser. We had 2 new members joining us for their first ride. Special thanks to Waverly Osborne for loaning his “Boss Hoss” Trike to Lucky Larry (Larry Noel) so that he could “ride” to the ceremony. For those who do not remember, Larry was the victim in a crash on Dec. 16th, 2007 and lost his left leg at the knee. This is the first time he’s ridden since the accident. Thanks Waverly, Larry was smiling like a kid on Christmas morning! (You may have re-created a monster) We formed a flag line on the south side of the ceremony. The ceremony consisted of reading of the names and dates of the fallen officers and a 21 gun salute. Also, the sheriff presented awards to deputies and support staff. At the conclusion, Sheriff McKeithen presented a plaque of appreciation to the PGR for our service. (Picture is attached) Thanks to everyone who attended today, we appreciate each one of you!
Respectfully Submitted,

It was an Honor to participate. The PGR and the Bay County Sheriff's Office have a great relationship. They have always gone out of their way to accomodate the PGR. Salutes to Sheriff McKeithen. |
