This is the Final Mission Plan - Date & Time Confirmed!

We will escort the troops from Dulles (IAD) airport to the Winchester VA Armory, with police escort, and form an Honor Flag Line as the troops file into the Armory for dismissal ceremonies.

CHECK BACK HERE BEFORE YOU RIDE AS THESE PLANS ARE VOLATILE AND
WE MAY NOT HAVE TIME TO SEND EMAILS TO ANNOUNCE CHANGES.

05/08/08 Plan - Escort from Staging to Winchester Va  Armory, Flag Line

Stage:  1800-1845  hours   Near Cell Phone Parking Lot, Dulles Airport / IAD  (below)

Iron Horses preferred, cages welcome, as always.
Large mounted flags desired for Escort (must be capable of highway speeds!)
Large hand held flags desired for Flag Line.

Ride Captain:   Dave "SilverBack" Slone 301-758-5608 cell

Will stage at the large empty parking lot off the entrance to the Cell Phone Lot.

Follow the airport signs for the Cell Phone Lot.
The last sign will direct you to make a left across the opposing lane,
into a fenced corridor the makes you go left again into the Cell Lot.
Our staging area is straight ahead after you enter the chain corridor
                 - you do not make that last left.
If the special lot/gate is not open, go into the Cell Lot and wait.

As the convoy of buses and LEO escort leaves the loading area,
riders will move to the entrance of the Staging Lot, and will insert
between the LEOs and the buses, for the escort to the armory.

Upon arrival at the armory, PGR will move through the greeting
crowd, to set up a Flag Line for the entry of the troops into the
armory - once they have had their short (30 min.) meet - greet.

CHECK BACK HERE BEFORE YOU RIDE AS THESE PLANS ARE VOLATILE AND
WE MAY NOT HAVE TIME TO SEND EMAILS TO ANNOUNCE CHANGES.

This is the Preliminary Mission Plan

Mission Date is 08 May, 2008 - Time TBD - Staging

Preliminary information is that the troops will be flown into Dulles (IAD)  airport,
and then escorted by police, PGR and other associated riders to the Armory.

The designation airport and timing is still not available.

It is still possible they may arrive by bus - direct from their current US location
or from another airport.  Alternate plans (below) are being made to cover those
eventualities.

CHECK BACK HERE BEFORE YOU RIDE AS THESE PLANS ARE VOLATILE AND
WE MAY NOT HAVE TIME TO SEND EMAILS TO ANNOUNCE CHANGES.

Plan - Escort from Staging to Winchester Va  Armory, Flag Line

Stage:  TBD  hours   Near Cell Phone Parking Lot, Dulles Airport / IAD  (below)

Alternate Plan:

In the event that the all or part of the troops' trip home is to be by bus,
alternate plans are being made to meet the buses enroute and escort
them from the meet point to the Winchester armory.

If needed, those plans will be published here, at the last minute, so:

CHECK BACK HERE BEFORE YOU RIDE AS THESE PLANS ARE VOLATILE AND
WE MAY NOT HAVE TIME TO SEND EMAILS TO ANNOUNCE CHANGES.
