Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Bernie Schiera, PGR Member. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow.  For his unselfish dedication to the PGR and families of the fallen he is a hero and will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Bernie.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero who stood tall for his homeland during this very sad time in your lives, but remember that you knew a hero first hand while the rest of us just get to hear about their heroic deeds. My prayers are that our GOD may bring peace and comfort to all of you during this tragic time. Please know that not just me , but a country full of people like me owe you a debt that can never be repaid. But please know that your loved one is now serving in the Army of our LORD in heaven, and the LORD said if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. Know that it says in the Bible in 2nd Corinthians 5:8 , we are confident I say , willing rather to be absent from the body and present with the LORD. No one can ever say that your loved one isn't a HERO, they were willing to serve that the rest of us may enjoy the freedom we do today, and the sacrifice you and your family have endured so our nation can remain the home of the free because of the brave. We are all brothers and sisters in arms and we don't forget one of our own, rest in peace my comrade, your mission is complete and now it's time for you to rest. May GOD Bless each and everyone of you.Ride the clouds my brother, one day we too will join you in the presence of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Today, April 27, 2008 20 days after PGR member Bernie Schiera passed, twenty one PGR riders showed up to say good bye. Instead of a funeral, Bernies family held a "Celebration of Life" to commemorate the way he had lived. We stood a beautiful flag line in front of The Wild Meadows Community Center. Bernies neighbors came to pay their respects and to laugh and cry a little to celebrate him. Those neighbors as well as Brrnies' family were awed and overjoyed to see so many of his PGR brothers, some who never knew him, honor him. Our riders came from New Jersey, PA, DE, and Maryland in not too friendly weather and threatening skies without complaint. I salute all of them and offer my heartfelt "Thanks"
