_____________________________________________________________________________

The Delaware Patriot Guard has lost one of our own.  Bernie Schiera: 1/27/1941 to 4/7/2008

Bernie joined the PGR in August, 2006 and has ridden on numerous missions and stood the flag lines with honor and respect for heroes who have given their all for our freedom and this great country. He was a true patriot, who honored these men and women despite being burdened by his own health problems. We will all miss him terribly.

In lieu of a funeral the family is preparing a “celebration of life.” It will be held on 4/27/08 at the “Wild Meadows” club house. The PGR has been asked to attend. We will form a flag line in his honor prior to the celebration. After the ceremony we are invited to ride, not as an escort, but as friends to a spot with members of his family to scatter his ashes.

Initial itinerary: The PGR riders will assemble at the Home Depot at the junction of Rt. 13 and Leipsic Road next to the Dover Speedway. Staging time is 10AM, kickstands up at 1025. Form flag line from 1030 to 11AM. To those members who knew him, please remember him.
