I can only ehco the other thought already here, but add a vision in my head of a very cold and wet day a couple years ago, Breaking bread with Mats extended family of the PGR. Hoping and praying for his return, but not in this manner. His ID tag will remain on my vest forever.

My deepest sympathies go out to Keith, Carolyn and all family members. Matt is a true hero and his sacrifice will be in the hearts and minds of everyone that knew him personnally and in spirit forever.  I met Keith and Carolyn at a POW/MIA ride in Mendon, OH and they are inspiration and a blessing to all.  I have listened to "Matt's Song" many, many times just waiting for the good news that he was on his way home. Well now we can finally say Matt is coming home. God bless the Maupin family.  You are in our prayers. Standing by in Celina, OH.

As a parent, I can't imagine the agony of the past years of not knowing the fate of one of your sons. We had all hoped and prayed that the outcome would not be what it is, but at least, now Matt will be returned to his country, family and God.
Thank you, Matt, for your service and your ultimate sacrifice that you have made for your Country.
I will try my best to participate in this mission of respect for Matt and your family and friends.

SSG Keith Matthew Maupin earned my respect and gratitude when he volunteered to serve our country. His efforts to make the world a safer place will be remembered with honor and appreciation by this American family.

My sincere condolences to Keith, Carolyn, Micah, the family and friends of Matt. You all have been in my prayers for nearly four years, and will continue to be in my prayers as you bring Matt home. I am so sorry that it is not the happier kind of homecoming that we were all praying for. I will be there in spirit to honor Matt.

To Keith, Carolyn, Micah and all other family members and friends: Words can not express the sadness in my heart. We have all been praying with you for Matt's safe return. Please accept my sincere condolences. Matt is a true american hero in every sense of the word. He and others like him are the reason we are able to enjoy the freedom that we do. I had the pleasure of meeting Keith and Carolyn a couple of times. One was in Wash. DC during Rolling Thunder XX. And I had the honor of standing for SGT Jack Maupin, with other PGR brothers and sisters, in Hamliton last August. It will now be my honor to stand and honor Matt.

Our sincerest condolences go out to Matt's family.  I know that being listed as MIA must have been very difficult and stressful for his loved ones, and finally finding out his fate must come as a mixed comfort and sorrow.  Those of us here in the Peoria area, home of the 724th, have also been keeping vigil for him.  I hope we can have the honor of showing our respects when his remains finally come home, and that the family doesn't have to wait too much longer to lay him to rest.
We can only say thank you for the ultimate sacrifice, and stand ready to honor him when he comes home.

Standing by in Central Illinois.

I am sitting here dumbfounded, not having any words to say. I have been wearing Matt's bracelet almost a year now, having read the story along time ago. I wanted to get his bracelet at the wall, which I did.
I am so very sorry for your loss, Keith, Carolyn, and Micah. Words cannot express or take your pain away. Your strength has been amazing, the website, the photos that you sent around.
May God grant you an amazing amount of peace, to get through this next stage of getting him home.
Remember he is in Heaven, in peace.

Carolyn, Keith, Micah.

Your sadness will never go away.  The huge hole you feel in your heart will eventually fill up with love from your family and friends but the scare just never goes away.

The friends you have made and the troops and veterans you have supported will remember Matt for the hero he is and will always be.

Matt may no longer be with us in life but he remains with us in our Prayers and in our hearts forever.

He will be remembered LONG after we all go to see him in heaven.

Keith, please express my gratitude to the military for listening to your suggestions that they never give up and find him.

Love and Support
