Batavia, OH
KIA Operation Iraqi Freedom II
724th Transportation Company
My fellow Patriots, I spoke with Keith Maupin earlier this evening and confirmed with him that the news reports were in fact true and that Matt’s remains have been positively identified. He has given us the Honor of showing our Respect for Matt‘s ultimate sacrifice for his country and our freedom.
At this point in time details of Matt’s Home Coming are not available; however please keep posted to this mission thread for up-dates.
I would like to thank Keith and Carolyn Maupin for their continued friendship and being valuable assets to not only their community but to the state of Ohio and the Nation. Their unwavering strength has made me realize what truly special people they are.
I know they will continue to do the work they have been doing for the troops. Keith is also a PGR member and has been on several missions with us. He and Carolyn have always been and inspiration to all of us. They are truly just “GREAT AMERICANS”.
Please, pray for them and their son Micah who is a United States Active duty Marine.
Micah, I’m truly sorry for the loss of your brother.
