My sincere prayers and heartfelt sympathies are with the King family as you go through life's greatest sorrow, the loss of someone you love.  I pray that your own faith in Jesus will sustain you, bringing you comfort today, courage for tomorrow and hope in your heart always.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth , nor any other created thing , shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39.

******************REMINDER*************REMINDER****************

Just a reminder to all who plan to attend today's mission.  Remember, it IS Sunday.  Church services at the First Baptist Church begin at 1030 and sometimes last until 1145 or beyond.  There is also a Catholic Church directly South of this parking lot whose members also use this facility.

If you plan to arrive very early, be mindful of this if there are a lot of vehicles remaining in the parking lot.  Please park along the side street until the parking lot is vacated.

I intend on arriving around 1200 myself.

   Thank you for your consideration.
Respects,
Joe

*******************MISSION ACCOMPLISHED**********************

Finally, a day with nothing but sunshine greeted 10 PGR members as we gathered in Sistersville, WV in preparations for the final services for U.S. Army Korean War Veteran Bob King.

As we maintained our flag line prior to start of services at 1400, we were greeted and thanked for our participation by Bob's family members and friends within the community.

At the conclusion of services, we reset our flag line as he was moved from the funeral home for the short journey to his final rest in Greenwood Cemetery.  We then broke our line and departed for the cemetery ahead of the procession so as to be there upon their arrival.

A short graveside service followed as we maintained our lines until the family had departed.  As there was no military graveside rites, PGR participation was the primary display of Honor and Respect.

My deepest thanks and appreciation for the participation of our brothers and sisters from Pennsylvania, Barry Bioni, Don Miller, Jack Davis, Ken Erickson and Mary Ann as well as WV members Paula Richards, Bernie Doyle and Rick and Nikki Gifford.  Without your participation, this mission would not have been the success it was.  To do so on such short notice only exemplifies that your heart's are in the right place.  Thank you all!

Dorothy, Mike, Lisa, Beth and all of Bob's family and friends, know that it was our honor to stand today for him.  We thank you for the invitation to participate in this most difficult time in your lives.  Growing up with all of you made this mission extra special from my standpoint.  It is my hope and prayer that our presence provided a small measure of comfort to you on this day.

May you rest in eternal peace Bob.  You shall forever be remembered.  God Speed.
Respects,
Joe
