Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Terry. It's because of men like your brother and their generation that we have the country we have today.

I am back home safe and sound. I just want to thank everyone again for being with me in my time of need and for being a part of my brothers final Mission and getting him to his resting place. I will always remember what the PGR did for me and the family, they all thought it was great the respect you all showed for Richard. Thanks again from the bottom of my Heart.

Thanks Ed and my fellow Illinois riders for their support. Wish I could have been there to show my respect for Richard.

President Abraham Lincoln stated in the Gettysburg Address:

"From these honored dead we take increased
devotion to that cause for which they here gave the last full measure of
devotion - that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in
vain."

This was a special mission for us, as this WWII vet was the brother of one of our own PGR members Terry.

I received an e-mail from Terry, asking if we could get a Mission planned for his brother Friday, about 2 hours before I was to head down south for the Mission in Alton.  I told Terry with such shrt notice I wasn't sure what type of support we could gather up, but I would try my best.

I put up a confirmed mission notice, and literally within minutes, we jumped on our scoots and headed south.

I met up with Terry down in Alton, and we spoke of his Brother and the upcomming Mission for today.  I told him I was sure that we would get a few riders and those on 4 wheels to pay respects.  When I finally returned home late Sunday night, I was pleased to see that more than a few members once again stepped forward, to do what we do the best, pay our Respects to a Soldier, who did his part.

Arriving at the funeral home this morning, the bikes started to roll in, final count 25 to 30 Bikes, and 5 to 10 on 4 wheels.  We got into place, and the family began to arrive.  Before they even entered the Funeral Home, each one passed down our line, personally thanking each of our members for their participation.

We followed behind the Hearse in procession to the church, and after the services were complete, again in procession to the cemetery.

Terry, thanked each of us over and over, and along with his thanks, let me add my own for the great members which we have, that, on short notice, came out and paid their respects.

Another wonderful man has passed, and is now standing watch over those golden gates.  His job well done, and now time for him to stand down, and Rest in Peace.

Respectfully Submitted,

Ed Mueller
