DoD Identifies Army Casualty
            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier
who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.



            Staff Sgt. Mark A. Wall, 27, of Alden, Iowa, died in Mosul, Iraq,
on April 27, from a non-combat related cause.  Wall was assigned to the 2nd
Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Fort
Wainwright, Alaska.



            The incident is under investigation.

My family is from Alden, Iowa. I spent summers there as a kid. The Walton family sends their condolences to this soldier's familly and friends. Stand down Mark and rest easy. May God keep you all in his care through this trying time.

I am from the neighboring town of Iowa Falls and read about SGT Wall this past weekend while I was there. If a mission comes up, please let me know and several Vietnam brothers Minnesota will be there.

God Bless you SGT Wall for all that you have given to our great country. May he watch over your family during their troubled times.

My heart is heavy to know another Hero has given his all. I am grew up in Iowa and wish I could be there to show my support to the Wall family. Know I will be there in spirit. I am a proud Air Force Wife now and support our local PGR group here in AZ.
