Well the weather looks a lot better.
See everyone at the BK in the AM.
Shamdog, no just the regular bike, no place to mount the flag on the springer. Also the registration ran out before I could mount the speedometer.

Speedo? Speedo?
We don't need no stinkin' speedo!
Here is a little update for all you that want to continue on to the Freedom Run to Ground Zero.
Their ETA at GZ is 11:30 - 11:45. They plan to be there until 1:30.
When this Mission is completed, I plan to ride directly to GZ and link-up with that ride. All bikes are welcome to join me...I get lonely on the road. |

John,
Sounds like a plan. I don't think I can attend the pig roast, though....have to get home to check on the boy in case he decides to have a few friends over while mom's away....i'm sure you know how 14 year old boys can be!
Heading out now....see you around 9:00... |

You take some great pictures Debi. Today was a lot of fun and a great
way to show respect for our current and fallen heroes. Turned out to be
a beautiful day. A mission for a WWII vet, the Freedom Run from Ground
Zero and a Pig Roast for Dr Bob. Nice to meet you all, ride Safe guys, Tony |

Thanks to all who showed their respect. I counted 29 bikes and met some more fabulous PGR members. Great pics, Debi.
Declan - a job well done. I'm glad you're friend's dad got the honor he earned before we were even born. |

My thanks to everyone that showed up for the Robinson Family. It was a great showing for this WWII veteran and it was also good to meet so many of the NJ and PA members.
They wanted me to convey their deepest thanks to all that came out to honor their father, Walter.
Ride safe Declan

It was a most moving day for me yesterday, one I will not soon forget. It was an honor to stand with the PGR for a vet from the era of 'wooden ships and iron men'. While standing in the street at ground zero I felt my knees go week. I was leaning on the building and realized it was the exact spot my crew and I took our 'breathers' while working 9/11-12. My thoughts drifted to my son, an army medic in Bagdahd...the tears began. Then that young woman singing our national anthem, I was crying.
Dr. Bob...never heard of him till now. Must have been a wonderfull person, whish I could have meet him. To see that many people show up for his touched me.
Following two groups who had no idea where they were going...well we got to where we were going both times, the scenic way thank you. I hope these kind of things are the worst that happen to me.
I too am gad I have met friends I had but didn't meet yet.

I will ride with any of you guys anywhere or any time. |
