The Sonoma Valley American Legion Jack London Post # 489 is requesting the participation of Patriot Guard members in the escort and placement of Wreaths at the Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Cemetery beginning at 7:15 am on December 15th.
Schedule:
0715am Meet at Flowers Golf Range, 18709 Arnold Drive, Sonoma 95476
0730 KSU - Escort Wreaths thru the City of Sonoma to Veterans Cemetery (2.5 miles), 126 1st west.
0800 Place Wreaths (100) on Veterans graves - PGR members may participate in Wreath laying.
0900 One Minute of Silence
0905 Ceremony with representatives of the Military with wreaths for the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, and POW/MIA.
1000 Dismissed
This ceremony is in suppor t of t he National Wreaths Across America Program. Our local Civil Air Patrol Sponsor is the primary sponsor. Our Post is providing support again this year.
We would be honored to have the participation of the Patriot Guard is this worthy recognition program for our military.
Our Post has two members of your great organization, Bob Kinsey and Larry Moore. Bob and Larry have volunteered to support this request and provide any and/or all logistics that may be required.

Mission Complete
Thanks to all the riders who participated today in the cold and fog. The escort thru town went very well. Placing the wreaths on the grave sites was very moving.
We have good media coverage from the local press. |
