87 bikes at my last count. 87+ brothers and sisters who found the time to escort Lea on his final ride. To my fellow PGR brothers and sisters, Thanks. I hope that you all made it home safe and dry. I heard that someone went down but I have no details at the moment. When I hear more I will post it. To the Mills family, I hope it goes without saying that all of us including our brothers from The Leathernecks MC were honored to have been invited to this solumn occasion. Everything I heard about Lea screamed Marine and though there is no right way for a young man to have his life taken away from him, Lea died serving his country and there is no more honorable way to be remembered in my book. God's Speed Lea. Semper Fi my brother. Mission complete. I stand down.

Just walked in the door from another unforgetable day. The rain held off for the most part until all was said and done.

Cajun, another good trip following you.

To the rest of the group from Jackson...it was good to meet you and get to know you a little. Jera? excellent job with the flags, I hope you got all 36 back. Everyone else...it was good to see old familiar faces and new ones

I hope the rider that went down leaving the cemetary is alright. Looked like some pretty good road rash.

To be such a solemn occasion I can't think of a more honorable group of people to spend it with. May God take and hold Sgt. Mills in his loving arms for eternity and guide the family through this seemingly impossible time. AMEN

It's not just a privilege and an honor to serve these heroes... It's an obligation

Trog and LadyTrog wish to commend and to thank all the brothers and sisters who made this mission (our first) something we'll remember always. As our Gunny said, none of these are easy and yes, the tears did flow. But being with all of you made the heartache much more bearable. A lot of tears of pride as well to ride with a group like all of you.

V92SC, we were honored to provide what flags we could find and would have gotten more if we could have found them. We'll have them available for any future mission -hopefully 'Welcome Home' missions- whether we are able to ride or not. Contact Cajun or us directly to get them, unless you see us post that we'll be reporting for duty. Haven't counted them but if one or two were kept, we know they'll be used for a worthy cause.

As for the downed rider, he's doing fine except for some major road rash to the left arm and some VERY sore muscles. Can't say that for his hog, tho. We got him and his bike back home in La. safely. Thank you, Pat. I said no charge and you STILL had to sneak LadyTrog some cash. It'll go toward the Central MS Rider's Flag Fund. Enjoyed your company on your way home. Get that hog back in order to ride with us again.

To the family of this fine Marine:
May God bless you and comfort you through the coming days. To each of you that thanked us, I'll repeat what our fellow troops have said, it is TRULY our honor to serve and to have been a part of saying fare well to your son. Take good care.

Trog and LadyTrog

For those of us that rode in from Florida we want to express our sincere condolences to the Mills family.  It was truly an HONOR to pay tribute to this American hero.  My thanks to Snap and the crew from Montgomery and Huntsville for meeting us in Mobile and riding in together.  We were over 35 strong when we rode into the staging area.

Ed, you and your brothers and sisters in Mississippi should be proud of the class and dignity you provided for the mission.  My special thanks also to the Leathernecks, MC for providing the missing man ride formation.  Semper Fi.

TO SGT. LEA MILLS FAMILY,

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives Saturday. Even though having never met Sgt. Mills, the love and respect shown by your family, signified the fine outstanding young man that he was. It was my honor to meet the aunt of Sgt Mills. I hope that she will forgive me for not being able to speak much but she took my hand in appreciation of all of the PGR and Leathernecks MC for being there, it choked up this old biker and suddenly it became very hard for me to see due to the tears welling up in my eyes. I'll always remember her sincerety and the love she has for her young Hero nephew.

To all my brothers and sisters in Mississippi, Ed, Lonnie, Greg and his wife, and all the others, thank you for doing such a great job. Everything went smooth. I hope to see you all again soon under without a mission to fulfill.

All my Alabama brothers and sisters; it is always good to see each one of you. I consider you my close friends and family.Thank you all for coming and giving support to our Miss. family.

To the Florida riders, thanks for being there. Myself and a couple other brothers were at the overlook in Daphne when we saw you rolling by. What a great sight.

Snap my friend, God bless you man. I think that God not only said "Let there be light" but also "Let there be only one Snap". Godspeed my brother.

Shmidtroch, it was a pleasure and honor to meet you. What a great guy. I'm looking foward to being able to getting together again. Maybe at the next bike week and we can track down my twin.lol.

Leathernecks M/C, it was good to meet and talk with some of you. I thank you for your commitment to our fallen hero's and letting us join you in times like these.

CB141, my brother, we beat the rain!

Lea was a friend of my son, and his wife was a classmate.  We lost our son during his junior year in high school.  I just recently learned of the PGR and after learning of Lea's death and the PGR mission for him, I joined online this week.  Saturday there is a memorial service here in Brooksville FL, where Lea and Keisha grew up and went to high school, and my wife and I will attend.  Our hearts are saddened by this loss of another of our young people.  Both of us are veterans and understand the committment to service that Lea had for our country.  God Bless him and his family. They are all in our prayers.

To the Mississippi crew,
Ed, you should award a "well done " to your RC's. I have ridden too many missions and the professionalism shown on this one was special. The sincere display of respect, the organized presentation of all this young man was due, was fantastic. The only thing you couldn't control was the weather. And you kepy that back until the service was over.
Your work with the Leathernecks showed a clear understanding of the MC world. You earned a lot of respect today.
Linda and I had a wet 275 mile ride home last night. Got in at 9:45PM. Total for the day, 712 miles.
God bless you all. There realy are " no borders between our states"

To all my Brothers and Sisters who attended today's mission, I salute you. This was my first mission, and with prayers, we will not be required to get together again under these heart breaking circumstances. Thank you State-Road Captains for the fine jobs. Hope the Brother who went down after the service is okay including his bike. Know everyone was in a rush to get out of the approaching thunderstorm. Till we meet again...Ride Safe.
Last but not least.
To the Family and loved ones of Lea Mills. I know I'm not speeking alone....It was an HONOR to attend his service. May God bless you now and in the days ahead.
