********************ITINERARY INFORMATION**********************
Staging time for this Mission of Honor will be at 1115 on Saturday, November 24, 2007. Staging will be in the large parking lot directly BEHIND the Shadyside Police Department, 50 E. 39th St. Ride brief will be held at 1145 and we will be in our flag line prior to start of Memorial visitation at 1200. Funeral home is located one block from the police station.
To get to the staging area: If coming South on OH SR 7, take the Shadyside exit and follow Central Avenue (Main Street). After passing the Dairy Queen on your right, proceed one block further South and turn left.
If coming North on OH SR 7, take the Shadyside exit, go under the overpass and proceed into Shadyside. After passing the Marathon station on your left, proceed one block further North and turn right at the sign for the PD.
Attempts are being made to arrange for police escort for the entire route of the Memorial Ride.
All please note the speed limits within the village of Shadyside are VERY strictly enforced!
Current long range weather forecast is for temperatures in the high 40's with cloudy skies.
As many members as possible are requested to attend and stand for Larry. Let's give him the Welcome Home he was denied upon his return from Vietnam.
Thank you for your support. Respects, Joe _________________________________________________________________________________________
The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in Honor and Respect for Larry McNeely, U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam on 24 Nov 2007.
A Memorial celebration will be held from 1200-1300, with a Memorial service beginning at 1300 at the Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, OH 43947 (http://tinyurl.com/2mwnyl). Services will be led by PGR member Pastor Ron Williams.
At the conclusion of services, a Memorial Ride will be held. The ride will proceed South on OH SR 7 to the Moundsville, WV Bridge, crossing into West Virginia, proceeding North on WV SR 2 to the Veteran's Memorial Bridge on I-470W, then back down OH SR 7 to Shadyside.
Unless our brothers and sisters in Ohio wish to take on this mission, I will be the Ride Captain and will post staging location and times ASAP.
Please track this thread for itinerary information and make every effort to stand for one who was not afforded the Honor and Respect he had earned upon his return home.
All attending from surrounding states who will be participating in the Memorial Ride, remember, West Virginia is a helmet state.
Thank you for your support and participation.

Thank you, Larry, for your service to our country during a period when such service was not much appreciated. It will be OUR honor to pay you the Respect and Honor you earned so many years ago, yet never received.
May your family, fiance and friends take comfort in knowing you are in a far better place among the Angels in Heaven, yet you continue to watch over them each and every day.
Stand at ease Larry. Your tour of duty is now complete. God Speed. Respects, Joe |

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Larry McNeely, U.S. Army Viet Nam Veteran. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. He is
one of America's Heroes that will never be forgotten.
Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Larry.
Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning
Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Riding in honor of our nephew, Hospitalman Apprentice Gary T. Frost, U.S. Navy, 05/16/74 - 12/04/94 -------- What Heroes Gave
Each donned their uniform to be Defenders of our liberty
Their mission sure, their spirits bright Guard freedom’s home, be brave to fight
One final day each faced their call Each gave their best enduring all
We’ll never know what they went through But know they loved this country true
Deep down inside we should all feel What heroes gave, their cost so real
We must stay thankful, grateful of The gift of freedom through their love
Their loved ones bore the gravest pain What we can’t know, some now sustain
To God I pray their pain will cease And each will find long-lasting peace
Remember this from year to year What heroes gave – shan’t disappear
We’ll never let their special day Their time for honor slip away
These brave fought for a nation free If not for them, where would we be?

| I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero who stood tall for his homeland in this very sad time in your lives, but remember that you knew a hero first hand while the rest of us just get to hear about their heroic deeds. My prayers are that our GOD may bring peace and comfort to all of you during this tragic time. Please know that not just me , but a country full of people like me owe you a dept that can never be repaid. But please know that your loved one is now serving in the Army of our LORD in heaven, and the LORD said if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. Know that it says in the Bible in 2nd Corinthians 5:8 , we are confident I say , willing rather to be absent from the body and present with the LORD. No one can ever say that your loved one isn't a HERO, they were willing to serve that the rest of us may enjoy the freedom we do today, and the sacrifice you and your family have endured so our nation can remain the home of the free because of the brave. We are all brothers and sisters in arms and we don't forget one of our own, rest in peace my fellow American, your mission is complete and now it's time for you to rest. May GOD Bless each and everyone of you. |
