To borrow JFK's immortal words: "Any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile... can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction, 'I served in the United States Navy.'" I did (12/81 - 3/06), and I am. |

To the family and friends of Cpl. Jason B. Daniel, a True American Hero:
To lose someone so very young is heartbreaking. May God bring you comfort and peace in this time of sadness. My prayers are with you.

I think this is the one that showed on the news here in San Antonio stating that it will be another Ft Sam Houston funeral here in San Antonio, unless things have changed.
If that is the case, I will do my best to be there. Carl, please keep me posted if you need help with this (or any other) San Antonio missions. |

someone else already posted the link. Tells a bit about Cpl
Daniel and has a picture.

There has been a great showing of support in these "standing by" posts and it makes me proud!
Any of you new members, if you'll email me your contact information (email and location) I can see to it you're added to the email list for that area. This becomes a tremendous help to both you and the Ride Captain/Contact Coordinator for that area as Missions such as this develope. When details are provided, the RC/CC can send one mass email to all members on their list with rally points, dates/times, etc. It also helps you to know you'll be contacted with details instead of checking the thread several times a day.
Hope to hear from you new members soon and as Bear says "Though we gather for the worst of reasons, we ride for the best of causes". |

Depending on time and date, will be standing by.
My condolences to the Daniel family, may they find comfort in the fact that Jason was one of only 6% of the U.S. population that answered the call of their country and the call of FREEDOM. Though he paid the ultimate price, those for generations will live free because of his honor and sacrifice. |
