Staging Area:
Holly Avenue parking lot at Holly Avenue School.

Holly Avenue School is at 360 W Duarte Road in Arcadia.

Meet at the staging area between 1300 and 1415.  We will have a ride briefing at 1420 and will leave for the Church at 1430.

The service will be at 1500 at Our Savior Lutheran Church located at 512 West Duarte Rd in Arcadia

I received an e-mail from our hero's mom. In her words:

Kyle's service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Arcadia, CA at 3PM, followed by a funeral procession to Forest Lawn Covina Hills, Covina, CA. There will be a military honor guard present for interment.

Lynn received an e-mail from the mother of this hero - a most courageous woman and patriot - and the PGR has been invited to attend the services. We do not know yet where the service will be held, or the time, but the date will be Saturday, May 6. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Hills, Covina, CA.

We will know by Tuesday will the service will be held. The family is hoping for a church in Arcadia.

April 25, 2006


DoD Identifies Army Casualties

 

            The Department of Defense announced today the death of four soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.  They died of injuries sustained in Baghad, Iraq on April 22, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their HMMWV causing a fire.  This occurred during combat operations.  All four soldiers were assigned to the 1st Squadron, 67th Armored Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

 

            Killed were:

 

            Sgt. Kyle A. Colnot, 23, of Arcadia, Calif.

 

            Spc. Eric D. King, 29, of Vancouver, Wash.

 

            Pfc.  Jacob H. Allcott, 21, of Caldwell, Idaho

 

            Pvt.  Michael E. Bouthot, 19, of Fall River, Mass.
